Day 3: Science, parks and a sunset from the heights
After two intense days touring the most important monuments and the soul that is more authentic Seville, today a little down the pace. This third day is designed for families who travel with children, although it is also perfect for those who want to leave the city in a more quiet and entertaining with a final route that combines green space for the kids to let off steam, educational activities that arouse your curiosity, and experiences relaxed you can keep exploring without running out of energy. And as a final finishing touch: one of the best views of the whole of Seville. Because there is no better way to end this journey by looking at the city from the heights, with a smile (and maybe an ice cream) at sunset.
House of Science: learning by playing
We started the day with a perfect activity to awaken the curiosity of the little ones (and by the way, our own). The House of Science is one of those museums that kids can not only look at but to touch, explore, and ask questions non-stop. It is managed by the CSIC and their exhibitions are designed to awaken the imagination: dinosaurs, space, energy, oceans, and biodiversity of andalusia. As a parent of a small child, I love museums that are able to be educational without being heavy, and this what you get. In addition, it has a small planetarium (see schedule upon arrival) that typically leave the kids with their mouths open. Can be toured in an hour and is an ideal plan if it is too hot or if you want to start the day in quiet.

boat Ride on the Guadalquivir river: Seville from the water
After you learn and explore in the museum, the time has come to let go-literally. A boat ride on the Guadalquivir river is a relaxing way to and original keep meeting Seville, and an activity that usually like a lot of children. The boats usually leave from the pier next to the Tower of Gold and make a journey of about 60 minutes along Triana, la Cartuja and other places of the river with comments guided.. An experience of simple, yet highly recommended, especially if it is a sunny day

Pause in the Gardens of Murillo: Break with andalusian charm
We take a break in one of the corners nicest in the centre: the Gardens of Murillo. This small park is like a parenthesis green between history and the present of Seville. Their paths flanked by trees, banks of tiles and arbors hidden invite you to stroll calmly, or simply to sit and pass the time. Personally I like very much as a place of transition after a morning active and before the final finishing touch. If you are going with kids, they can run or play without danger. If you’re in a couple, it is a corner very romantic. And if you’re going with dogs, it is ideal to also enjoy the end of the day.
- Hours: Open daily, access free
- Price: free Entry
Sunset in Mushrooms: a farewell to big
To close these three days in Seville with the best taste in the mouth, I can’t think of a better place than the viewpoint of The Mushrooms, or as it is called officially, the Metropol Parasol. This wooden structure, the largest in the world in its style,it is so curious and surprising, and when you climb to the top you realize why it has become one of the icons of the city. The best time is late afternoon, when the sun goes down over the rooftops of the historic centre, is a magical thing. From one side you see the Cathedral and the Giralda cut against the sky, and from the other, the labyrinth of narrow streets of seville that has been going on these days. If you are going with children, the journey through the gateways above is also fun and safe, with space to move around and lots of photos to remember. A personal advice: get at least 30 minutes before the sunset to enjoy the change of light and not to hurry. And let’s not forget the camera!
- Hours: All days from 9:30 to 00:00 pm

Important tip, especially if you tend to travel with kids as I did or with pets. If it’s your first day in Seville and arriving hours before check-in, or on the last day and you have to leave the bed early, don’t let the baggage limit you to enjoy these precious first few or last few hours of your vacation. Very close to the center, you’ll find this handy automatic lockers with different sizes and prices, where you can leave your luggage or personal belongings. It is a very comfortable and above all safe, so you can freely move around the site that we have suggested, without worrying about your belongings.
