Use of Cookies

Our website uses “cookies” to improve navigation and obtain statistical data about the visits obtained.

Our “cookies” serve to identify a user session (“session cookies”) on a computer (“temporary cookies”), and do not provide by themselves neither the user’s name nor any other personal data.

The “cookies” used cannot read the “cookie” files created by other providers.

The user has the possibility of configuring their browser to be warned on screen of the receipt of “cookies” or to prevent the installation of “cookies” on their hard drive.

We can classify “cookies” according to different criteria. If we take into account their origin, we can classify them into:

Third-party cookies:

They are installed on your computer by a third-party company and their purpose, among others, is to know useful data to improve our Website. Some data collected are, for example: the number of visits received, the origin of the visits, the keywords used to find us, or the hours of greatest influx of visitors. You can configure your browser not to receive these “cookies” and they will not be installed.

Own cookies:

Those that are sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the Data Controller and from which the service requested by the User is provided.

As indicated by the Spanish Data Protection Agency in its guide on cookies, these can be classified according to their purpose. The Spanish Data Protection Agency itself proposes, without this being understood as a closed list, the following classification:

Technical cookies:

They are those that allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist in it, including those that the editor uses to allow the management and operation of the web page and enable its functions and services, such as, for example, controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted access parts, remembering the elements that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process of an order, managing payment, controlling fraud linked to the security of the service, making the request for registration or participation in an event, counting visits for the purposes of billing licenses for the software with which the service works (website, platform or application), using security elements during navigation, storing content for the broadcasting of videos or sound, enabling dynamic content (for example, animation of loading a text or image) or sharing content through social networks.

Also belonging to this category, due to their technical nature, are those cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, as one more element of design or “layout” of the service offered to the user, the editor has included in a web page, application or platform based on criteria such as the edited content, without collecting information from users for other purposes, such as personalizing that advertising content or other content.

Technical cookies will be exempt from compliance with the obligations established in article 22.2 of the LSSI when they allow providing the service requested by the user, as occurs in the case of the cookies listed in the preceding paragraphs. However, if these cookies are also used for non-exempt purposes (for example, for behavioral advertising purposes), they will be subject to said obligations.

Interface customization cookies:

They are those that allow information to be remembered so that the user can access the service with certain characteristics that can differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to display when the user performs a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which they access the service, etc.

If it is the user themselves who chooses these characteristics (for example, if they select the language of a website by clicking on the icon of the corresponding country’s flag), the cookies will be exempt from the obligations of article 22.2 of the LSSI as they are considered a service expressly requested by the user, and this is always provided that the cookies obey exclusively the selected purpose.

Analysis or measurement cookies:

They are those that allow the Data Controller of the same to monitor and analyze the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impacts of the advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookies is used in measuring the activity of the websites, application or platform, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by users of the service.

Regarding the processing of data collected through analysis cookies, the WP29 stated that, although they are not exempt from the duty to obtain informed consent for their use, they are unlikely to represent a risk to users’ privacy as long as they are first-party cookies, that process aggregated data for a strictly statistical purpose, that information about their uses is provided and the possibility for users to express their refusal to use them is included.

Behavioral advertising cookies:

They are those that store information on the behavior of users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows developing a specific profile to display advertising based on it.

Finally, depending on their persistence in the system, we can present the following classification:

Persistent cookies:

They are those in which the data is still stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, and which can range from a few minutes to several years.

How to delete cookies

From your computer you can delete the “cookies” installed in each browser you use. The “cookies” are installed in each browser used to visit us, and therefore you must delete them from each of them.
